Pink Shirt Day!

Today is Pink Shirt Day.

Staff at the LGCFHT are wearing pink to show our support for the campaign that recognizes the devastating effects bullying. This campaign encourages people to treat others with kindness and to ‘lift each other up”!

Did you know that 1 in 5 kids are affected by bullying?

This campaign was started in 2007, in Nova Scotia, after a high school student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. After this bullying event, other students started to wear pink shirts to school to show support for this student.
